McCoy Hosts 2017 Book Character Day
Students and staff at McCoy Elementary dressed up in elaborate costumes for their 2017 Book Character Day. Those in disguises proudly held up the book they read, containing the character they were portraying. Also, students voted on the best costumes worn by the staff. While visiting the campus for the event, some parents also took part, dressing as their favorite book character. Characters represented ranged from caterpillars to Captain Underpants, and from Darth Vader to Sherlock Holmes. Principal Dawn Rink dressed as an emoji, showing off her Emoji Dictionary book.
