Thank you for your interest in employment with Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD! CFBISD is a great place to work and to enrich the lives of students.

The district encompasses 53.42 square miles and is located primarily in northwest Dallas County with a smaller portion in southeast Denton County. The school district’s boundaries are not the same as municipal boundaries; therefore, Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District provides instructional services to children who live in portions of Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Coppell, Dallas, and Irving.

Professional Applications

Online Application

We accept applications year round for all teaching positions. All other professional and administrative positions will be posted.

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, as a matter of district practice, will adhere to the following:

Elementary: With the exception of elementary bilingual education applicants and special education applicants, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD does not consider or place general elementary candidates who are enrolled in an alternative program seeking an internship on a probationary certificate. Upon receiving your standard teaching certificate you are eligible to be considered for employment.

Secondary: Secondary applicants participating in alternative certification programs are considered for working internships on a probationary certificate.

Visit the Texas Education Agency’s page for the Educator Certification to seek additional information about becoming a teacher in Texas. This information will provide assistance for educators, school districts and the public.

    • Note: All Educational Aides must be Highly Qualified according to NCLB, regardless of which campus they are assigned. Applicants must have the following prior to being offered any classroom aide position:
        • 48 College Hours

Types of District Applications

External – For prospective employees outside of the district who have an interest in employment with Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, please apply for positions by creating an account and completing the general District Online Application:
