Helping your community is a huge responsibility for all citizens.  This can include helping keep it clean, support your senior center, or assisting others in volunteer work.  It can make your community a better and happier place.  So go out and help your neighborhood today!

Benefits of Volunteering

  1. We can meet new people.
  2. It can also counteract stress, anxiety, and anger.
  3. Can also help a person develop leadership skills and problem-solving and an adapting ability to work around things.
  4. Volunteering gives you experience with helping people & gives many skills like communication skills.  These skills can help you in the future.
  5. Social interactions while volunteering improves mental and physical health.
  • Where to go record your hours:
  • Go to the Barbara Bush Home page by clicking the home button (next to the reload button)
  • Next, go to the Student Life section and HOVER over it.Do not click on it.
  • Once you are hovering over it, there will be a drop-down menu and, going down the line, will be Record Your Service Hours
  • You will be asked how long you have volunteered, where you volunteered, etc.
