On Nov. 15, the CFBISD Educational Foundation held its 2018 Unsung Heroes Breakfast at Brookhaven Country Club. Nominees for the Unsung Hero award and their principals from all CFB campuses were present. Fox 4 anchor, Mike Doocy, a former CFB parent, was the emcee for the event. Retired Dallas Cowboy, Dat Nguyen, was the guest speaker. The Unsung Heroes event showcases teachers that go above and beyond for their students. Landry Elementary principal, Stephanie Lopez, stated that Unsung Hero Malinda Maus “is the embodiment of ‘whatever it takes.'” Lopez continued, “No words convey the true nature of the Magical Malinda Maus, and Landry is truly blessed to witness her enchantment in the flesh.”
