Field Students Visit Brain Performance Institute

Field Students Visit Brain Performance InstituteTo learn more about their brains, Field students visit Brain Performance Institute. Students from Field Middle School learned how complex the brain is and how much information it can hold. Students were encouraged to understand how their brains work, especially when emotions are involved. Attendees learned ways that they can learn to “self-regulate” their emotions when they are upset. Field was the only school present for the institute’s grand opening. Speaking at the event was Dr. Jacquelyn Gamino, inventor of the SMART Program. Sixth grade students at Field are learning the SMART Program and using it in all their classes.
