Nguyen recently visited Newman Smith’s culinary art’s kitchen to teach Starry Kitchen’s trademark Crispy Tofu Balls recipe to the aspiring Trojan chefs. His stories and awesome recipes kept the students interested all day. Nguyen also donated his time to attend the Dewitt Perry Middle School Career Day to share stories about growing up in CFBISD. The students were able to taste treats from the Starry Kitchen recipe book.
Nguyen grew up in CFBISD, and lives in Los Angeles where he helps run Button Mash, his most recent adventure in Echo Park. He was also recently on Chopped, Jr. as a celebrity judge. Nguyen founded the Starry Kitchen enterprise with his wife, Thi.
