2nd grade students enjoy a rigorous game of soccer during CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) time at recess on August 23, 2018. By uniting multiple players in a child’s life to create a community of health, CATCH is proven to prevent childhood obesity and supported by 25 years and 120 academic papers indicating as much as 11% decrease in overweight and obesity.
During this structured part of their recess students learn about healthy choices, how to collaborate as a team and be respectful to each other.
