Blair Elementary Donates Food Pallet to Metrocrest ServicesExemplifying CFB’s character values of service and citizenship, students from Blair Elementary collected a pallet load of canned food for Metrocrest Services.

Metrocrest Services is a non-profit organization that supports students, their parents and others in the CFB community, helping through emergencies and to plan for a more secure future. Through their assistance with rent, utility payments, food, clothing, medical prescriptions, and more, they aim to prevent families and individuals from being homeless.

Metrocrest Services’ Employment Program provides individuals with support for a successful work search in the form of resume assistance and individual job leads, gasoline vouchers and bus passes. They provide programs that enable senior adults to live independently in their homes, including; transportation, home-delivered meals, minor home repair, loan of medical equipment, safety installations (grab bars, etc.) and Eat Smart, Live Strong food distributions.

Last year, over 13,000 individuals received assistance as they distributed 528,981 pounds of food through their food pantry, 99,000 meals and snacks to 1,100 youngsters during Sack Summer Hunger, provided 140+ rides to seniors weekly and delivered 25 meals daily to seniors. In times of crisis, Metrocrest Services is here to help. For assistance, call 972-446-2100.
