Mobile Apps with MIT App Inventor
Tuesdays 4:20-5:20 PM
(September 12, 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, 14)
Mobile Apps using MIT App Inventor You have a great idea, but do not know how to convert it to a mobile app? No worries. MIT App Inventor enables you to use drag-and-drop mechanism to put your creative ideas to work and make Android apps. While drag-and-drop mechanism is easy to get used to, you will come across lots of components that need to come together to make a complex mobile application.
Drawings & Games with JavaScript
Thursdays 4:20-5:20 PM
(September 14, 21, 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16)
JavaScript club will utilize the graphical environment provided by Khan Academy. It features a web-page with coding area and virtual canvass area for output. As you type the code, output appears/changes. This friendly environment comes with a powerful graphics library that minimizes coding effort. If you want to preview the workshop content, visit www.utdallas.edu/~jeyv/kajs. While instant drawing output keeps the students’ enthusiasm, students will get used to dealing with syntax errors in a friendly way.
