On Jun. 2, the Newman Smith class of 2019 celebrated their graduation at the UNT Coliseum in Denton, TX. Parents, friends, and family cheered on as graduates crossed the stage and received their diplomas. The NSHS Orchestra and choir performed and speeches were given by Principal Michael Arreola, Salutatorian Jeffrey Salgado and Valedictorian Libby Noelle Helm. Superintendent Dr. John E. Chapman, III conferred the diplomas to the graduates.
Years in the making
Principals from the CFB feeder schools were also present as their former elementary and middle school students began the next phase in their life’s journey. Student speakers gave thanks to teachers and administrators that helped them achieve their goals and look forward to new adventures and in being life-long learners.
