From December 1 – 12, 2018, students at McCoy Elementary participated in a Penny War fundraiser. Â The different grade levels competed to see who could raise the most money by collecting silver coins. Â Pennies, however, had a negative value. Here, we see a Kindergartner dropping pennies into a First Grade piggy bank! Â In the end, Fourth Grade raised more money than any other grade level, winning the Penny War. Fourth Graders enjoyed a cookie party on Friday December 12, 2018. Â Ultimately, everyone was a winner because the total amount of money raised for the McCoy PTA was $1,905.39!
