On May 11, Dairy Max hosted the Fuel Up to Play 60 Excellence Awards Dinner at AT&T Stadium for the North Texas Area. Mitzi Thompson from Landry Elementary received the Student Stars Award for 2017-2018. Katie Thomas from Strickland Elementary received the Dairy Good Excellence Award for her Milk “Moo-seum” this year and was also recognized in the Bulletin Board contest.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to help encourage today’s youth to lead healthier lives.
This is the fifth year for Carrollton-Farmers Branch to be recognized for district-wide implementation of the healthy lifestyle messaging through Dairy Max/Fuel Up to Play 60.
