Great Lakes employees donate over 4,000 snacks to Rainwater Elementary, their adopted school. Employees at the Plano-based office delivered 4,224 healthy snacks on Feb. 14 to the CFB elementary campus. “With over half of our students qualifying for the free and reduced-price meals program, food plays a big factor in their ability to concentrate on academics,” said Principal Charlotte Sasser-Thomas. “Snacks provide students the extra brain power needed to fuel through after school tutoring sessions.”

“We partnered with Rainwater Elementary so our employees could make an impact on student success at a neighborhood school,” said Amy Kerwin, Vice President – Community Investments at Great Lakes. “Together we’re helping students get a strong start on the path to postsecondary education.”

The Winter Snack Drive is one of several Great Lakes Gives campaigns that take place throughout the academic year.
