Spring 2018 Adult Spanish Classes
It’s that time of year again and Spring 2018 Adult Spanish Classes are now available. Both an introductory class and an advanced class will be available starting in February. This course is for adults. Those who have taken these courses previously have included parents of Dual Language students, a teachers and principals, and members of the community.
Students in both Spanish I and Spanish IV should expect homework. Spanish I students will learn fundamental vocabulary & concepts in Spanish. Everything will be applied in conversation. Students will have fun and become conversant at a basic level.
Spanish IV course is a continuation of the Spanish III class taught in the Fall. If a student believes they have enough Spanish under their belt to take on Spanish IV, they should contact the instructor ahead of time to confirm. Spanish IV progresses in the study of the Subjunctive, introducing conditional expressions in all forms. Students will apply all concepts in oral news reports and discussions in the classroom. Students will explore literature in Spanish, as well.
The Spanish I class will meet on Wednesdays, Feb. 21 – May 2, with no class during Spring Break. The Spanish IV class will be held on Thursdays, Feb. 15 – Apr. 26, with no class during Spring Break. Both classes meet 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the ESDC Building B at 1820 Pearl Street, Carrollton, TX 75006.
