CHS Places at 2017 Princeton Moot Court Competition

CHS Places at 2017 Princeton Moot Court CompetitionCreekview High School students Joanna Boyer, Mahak Merchant, Simon Peña, and Amena Tep competed at the 2017 Princeton Moot Court Competition. This year’s case centered on the tension between the commerce clause and the tenth amendment. This was in the context of Native American tribal sovereignty and the regulation of casinos. The team went undefeated in 4 preliminary and 1 breakout round. Afterwards, Moot Court co-captains Simon Peña and Amena Tep placed 8th in the nation, a new record for Creekview. Additionally, Simon Peña brought home a Top Attorney award, also a first for Creekview!
